Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Parkle app. By creating an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Parkle.

What Parkle is

Parkle helps theme-park fans connect for dating, friendship, park companionship, and group meetups. Parkle is an independent, fan-made app. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to The Walt Disney Company, Universal Destinations & Experiences, or any other theme park operator. Park names referenced in the app identify real, publicly known locations for matching purposes only.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Parkle. By creating an account, you confirm that the birthdate you provide is accurate and that you meet this requirement. You may only maintain one account, tied to one real identity.

Your account

You're responsible for the information on your profile and for keeping your login secure. You may not create a profile for anyone other than yourself, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your age, identity, or relationship status. You can view, edit, or delete your account at any time from Profile settings.

Acceptable use

When using Parkle, you agree not to, and will not use the app to:

• Violate the minimum age requirement in the Eligibility section above, or misrepresent your age to do so.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse other users, or aid, abet, or encourage anyone else in doing so.
• Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation with any organization (including any theme park operator).
• Post sexually explicit profile content, or otherwise engage in illegal acts using the app.
• Engage in, promote, or facilitate child sexual exploitation or abuse in any form, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or sextortion — see our Child Safety Standards.
• Engage in, promote, or facilitate sexual violence or non-consensual sexual content, including sharing intimate images of another person without their consent.
• Engage in, promote, or facilitate human trafficking or sex trafficking of any kind, or aid, abet, or encourage it.
• Use the app to solicit money, sell products or services, run scams, or engage in any fraudulent activity intended to defraud other users.
• Use Parkle if you have been convicted of a sexual offense.
• Scrape, automate, reverse-engineer, or otherwise misuse the app outside of normal personal use.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without permission.

We have zero tolerance for human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and any content that sexually exploits children. Any such content or activity is removed immediately, the responsible account is terminated, and — where legally required — reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, bio, prompts, and messages you post. By posting them, you grant Parkle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content within the app as part of normal app functionality. This license ends when you delete that content or your account, except for copies already shared with other users or retained as required by law. You're solely responsible for what you post, and for having the right to post it.

Safety & meeting people in person

Parkle does not conduct criminal background checks or identity verification beyond what's described in our Privacy Policy. Any decision to meet someone in person, and any interaction that follows, is entirely at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to:

• Video chat before meeting anyone in person.
• Meet for the first time in a public place — a theme park is a reasonable choice.
• Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting.
• Arrange your own transportation to and from a first meetup.
• Never send money, gift cards, or financial information to someone you've matched with.
• Trust your instincts, and use the in-app block and report tools if anything feels wrong.

Blocking and reporting

Parkle provides tools to block and report other users, before or after matching and inside group chats. Reports are always confidential and reviewed by our team. Misuse of these tools (for example, false reports intended to harass another user) is itself a violation of these Terms.

Premium & subscriptions

• Parkle Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. If you subscribe through our iOS or Android apps, it's billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play; if you subscribe through parkle.app on the web, it's billed through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. App-purchased subscriptions are managed through your Apple or Google account settings; web-purchased subscriptions are managed from your Parkle account settings on the website — not through the mobile app store either way.
• Refunds follow the policy of whichever channel you purchased through — see our Refund Policy for the specifics.
• Premium unlocks the same features regardless of which channel you subscribed through. We may change Premium's price or included features going forward; existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their next renewal.

Disclaimer

Parkle is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that you'll find a match, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any other user is who they claim to be.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parkle and its owner(s) are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app — including, without limitation, any interaction, meetup, or dispute with another user. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the app is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Parkle and its owner(s) harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the app, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

Disputes & governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at the email below so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continued use of Parkle after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
