This page explains how Parkle responds to requests from law enforcement agencies for user information. It's a reference for officers and government agencies, separate from our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle data for our users.
Parkle does not disclose user information to law enforcement without valid legal process, except in the emergency circumstances described below. Depending on what's requested, this may be a subpoena, court order, or search warrant, consistent with the U.S. Stored Communications Act (18 U.S.C. § 2701 et seq.):
Requests should be directed to us in writing, on official letterhead, and should identify the specific account(s) (by email or display name) and the specific information sought.
See our Privacy Policy for the full list of what Parkle collects. In response to valid legal process, this can include: account email, profile information, activity such as matches and reports, chat messages, and uploaded photos. Parkle does not process or store payment card details — subscription payments go through Apple, Google, or Stripe directly, and requests for payment records should be directed to those providers.
We retain account data for as long as an account remains active. When a user deletes their account (Profile → Delete Account, in the app), their profile, photos, matches, messages, and associated data are immediately and permanently deleted — there is no recovery period. If you're concerned a relevant account may be deleted before you can complete legal process, submit a preservation request (below) as soon as possible.
Under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f), law enforcement may request that we preserve existing records pending the issuance of formal legal process. Preservation requests should be submitted in writing to the email below and should identify the specific account(s) by email or display name. We will preserve the requested records for 90 days, renewable upon request, while the formal legal process is obtained.
In cases involving a genuine emergency — imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to a person — Parkle may voluntarily disclose relevant information without legal process, as permitted under 18 U.S.C. § 2702(b)(8)/(c)(4). Emergency requests should include a detailed description of the emergency and be submitted by a law enforcement officer using an official government email address. We evaluate each emergency request individually and reserve the right to require formal legal process in any case.
Unless prohibited by law or a valid non-disclosure order, we may notify the affected user that their information was requested or disclosed.
Email requests, including the required documentation, to support@parkle.app. Please include a callback number or agency contact so we can verify the request's authenticity before responding.
Parkle is a U.S.-based company. Requests from outside the United States are evaluated under applicable U.S. law, including via the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) process where required.
